Outer planets and the universe has served as the latest muse for graphic prints and designs that has exploded onto the scene with dark and gloomy solids lit by a colorful burst of bright sequin like sparks giving us a glimpse of the galaxy. Galactic prints have popped up all over fashion lines and runways alike this season.
leggings, shorts, dresses, skirts, booties, sneakers, interior designs, iPhone cases and even nail art. A trend in fashion is something that comes and goes. As Yves Saint-Laurent said,“Fashions fade, but style is eternal.”
Sneakers are killing the galaxy trend. Make the rest of your look fresh and casual and you’re set.
Nail art is my number two. So intricate, so visually appealing, so attracting and so… complicated. You don’t find galaxy print nails just anywhere, but when you do they look perfect.
The iPhone case has to be my third favorite. I mean, could you be any cooler? It’s like the print is just enough without going overboard. Worst case scenario is when you take your selfie for the day and your phone case distracts from your look. No thank you. The galaxy print is just enough to be subtly trendy.

The galaxy trend is more of an accessory trend. On a shoe, a clutch, a belt or even a backpack, it’s so perfect. Less is more when it comes to a trend like the galaxy print. It is a strong and noticeable print. Too much of a good thing, isn’t always a good thing! Remember that. So the leggings I’ll have to think about. A faded crew neck sweatshirt or a faded tank/tee would be great in the galaxy print! The fading of the print gives it a little more muted look without killing the trend as a whole.
